Hello, I'm from Mexico, I'm 23 years old. This is my second time in Agawak and I'm so glad to be here and make new friends.
As any good camp director will tell you, the key to a successful summer is the caliber of the staff. Implementing a dynamic program and maintaining a beautiful facility is only meaningful if our staff supports the mission of providing a safe and nurturing camp environment for our campers. The selection of quality staff is given top priority. We look for the “cream of the crop”……the best of the best.
At Agawak we select sensitive, enthusiastic, exceptional people who are dedicated to working with children. Our staff is composed of undergraduate and graduate students, teachers, coaches and high school students who love camp, the outdoors and working with children. Agawak staff members are high spirited, passionate individuals from around the country and world who want to make a positive difference in the lives of our girls.

Hello, my name is Wesley Gabel and I was born and raised right here in beautiful Minocqua, Wisconsin. I have just finished a Bachelors in Elementary Education and Middle School Science, and have been teaching waterskiing at Agawak for six years now. I love to teach, and I love to ski.

Hello everyone my name is Chris and you probably got a phone call or email from me at least once this year. I've been part of the Agawak Administrative team for 6 years. I hold a Masters degree in Business Administration. In the off season, I am the head coach for the Lakeland Swim Club where all 4 of my children swim. Along with Brandon and Mary, I help hold down the fort all winter long. It is much more exciting with everyone here. I'm hoping the skies are blue and the water is warm for 2013!

Helloooooo campers! Jamie Gorchoff is my name, and Spelling Bee is my game. I am completing my Sophomore year at Indiana University studying business and cannot wait to return to my second home. It will be my 13th summer at Camp Agawak, and my fourth as a counselor. I live for mixing cereals together and eating them in a huge bowl, water skiing once a summer, playing treasure hunt, paddle boating, and stealing campers' gold during gold rush...Just kidding! I will return this summer to be a blue and white commissioner once again, so look for a better than ever hunt! I'm looking forward to another amazing summer on blue lake, and can't wait until we can all be back together again soon!

Hi everyone! My name is Melissa Granick. This will be my 12th summer at Agawak and my 5th year on staff. I am going to be a senior at the University of Arizona. I just got back from an amazing semester studying abroad in Rome, but cannot be more excited to be back at my favorite place in the world, Camp Agawak. You will likely find me on the waterfront, Cooking up in LHOP, or in the office helping out. I cannot wait to be reunited with everyone and I look forward to a fun filled summer with long lasting memories.

My name is Emily and this will be my 14th summer at camp. I have a degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University. I am currently working at Greenbriar School in Northbrook, IL. This will be my 5th year in the office where I will be helping out Chris as well as working with the CITs heading up the CIT program. I am so excited for another amazing summer.
